BLOWFUSE - THE 4TH WALL
"The 4th Wall" is a
look into Blowfuse's naked mind. It's enigmatic cover art reflects a
concept rather than just an image: the prison of perspective. The
band's new album aims to remind both the listener and the members
themselves that freedom is a pendulum that swings between denial and
acceptance. Side to side, relentless. And in that constant swinging we
build the foundations of our identity from a young age. As an exercise
in introspection, Blowfuse's fourth album is, at its core, about hope.
The hope that one day, each one of us will rise up and break out of our
own prisons. And when that happens, we will realize that the walls of
our cells were just a matter of perspective. Taking this into
consideration, it is logical that the band has defied all the genres
previously associated with it. However, one thing is clear: energy and
vitality are two adjectives Blowfuse will never be able to get rid of.
Although punk rock permeates the entire album, the band has
experimented with new rhythms, harmonies and styles. Songs like "Wish"
reveal Blowfuse's funk rock side, while "Fade into the dark" shows
their darker side of alternative rock and hardcore. Recorded at Music
Lan Studi (Girona), EM Estudi (Terrassa) and Amplifire Studio
(Barcelona) and mixed by Jason Livermore of The Blasting Room (CO, US)
and mastered by Brian Gardner (US), the album will be released by Sbäm
Records (AU), HFMN CREW (SP), Infected Records (PT) and Epidemic
Records (IT). Undoubtedly, "The 4th Wall" is an honest reflection of
the Blowfuse members' sonic and professional evolution throughout their
10-year career.

In an era dominated
by uncertainty, "In the Age of Doubt" delves deep into the perpetual
tug-of-war between determining what is right and what is wrong, and the
endless pursuit of self-acceptance. Following the sonic trajectory of
"Unholy Hymns" in an effort to fully explore our capabilities both as
musicians and songwriters, this album combines our folk ethos and
instrumentation with our proclivity toward heavier, more alternative
styles of music. Both albums are set in the same fictional, hedonistic,
post-apocalyptic world on the verge of collapse. Amid conflict and
chaos, we explore themes of self reflection, insecurity,
disassociation, and escapism. We all could use a break from the world,
even from ourselves at times. These songs are an antidote to that harsh
reality, a proclamation of solidarity with those who struggle with
doubt in their own lives. There's a tension and release between
introspection and indulgence, and it's too much to take on the weight
of the world all on our own. In the end, it's about the long journey
and the connections we make along the way.

CADET CARTER - SELF MAINTENANCE

With artists like Machine Gun Kelly, Mod Sun and Avril Lavigne
dominating the mainstream charts (again!),Pop Punk and Emo music has
seen a remarkable resurgence over the past year. While CADET CARTER
consider themselves very much part of this genre, their sound is much
closer to the likes of Jimmy Eat World and Taking Back Sunday than it
is to the aforementioned.
The Munich-based band, fronted by Welsh lead singer Nick Sauter, has
made quite an impact on the European music scene since starting out in
late 2017. Their 2020 album Perceptions made it to #14 on the European
Alternative Rock chart, and before the pandemic stopped all touring,
the band played a ton of shows supporting artists like Touché Amoré,
The Dangerous Summer, Stand Atlantic and As December Falls. In 2022,
the band released another album entitled Anthems For The Weak to great
reviews before embarking on their first-ever headline tour, playing
highly successful shows throughout Europe and the UK.
CADET CARTER's brand-new album Self-Maintenance, their first release
with Austria-based Punk Rock label SBÄM Records, is a collection of
songs bursting with catchy melodies, clever arrangements, and heartfelt
lyrics. "All these songs are like little odes to taking care of
yourself and focusing on what's good in life rather than letting the
more gloomy side of your character win", says Nick. "Many of these
songs are about keeping yourself together and the mundane activities we
do to keep ourselves alive and function adequately in society. I think
it's something not only I but many people struggle with, so we decided
to write some songs about it."

DE LA VEGA, GAB - LIFE BURNS
Gab De La Vega is a
singer-songwriter with a punk and hardcore background. After years
spent playing loud music and shouting into a microphone at the top of
his lungs, he picked up an acoustic guitar to write heartfelt, sincere
songs about anything he felt the urge to talk about.
Born in Brescia (Italy), Citizen of the World: he does everything to
take his music wherever he can. Throughout the years he toured Europe
extensively (more than 20 countries, including two UK tours) and he
also hit the US East Coast, Canada (three times) and South America. He
played small shows and big shows, sharing the stage with artists such
as Frank Turner, Against Me!, Laura Jane Grace, PUP, Chuck Ragan, Joey
Cape, Kevin Seconds (7 Seconds), Austin Lucas, Ceremony, H2O and many
more. He went full band in the summer of 2019: the first time as Gab De
La Vega and The Open Cages was as an opening for Frank Turner and The
Sleeping Souls. He's been playing both full band and solo shows since
then.
He has released 3 albums, a couple of 7" and a few singles. His third
album "Beyond Space and Time" was released at the beginning of 2020,
while a couple of new single came out in the last two years.

VERSUS THE WORLD - THE BASTARDS LIVE FOREVER
A post-punk band
from Santa Barbara, California, consisting of
members of Lagwagon and Good Riddance, Versus the World released their
eponymous debut album on Kung Fu Records in 2005. Drawing from their
dense pedigree, the band mixes elements of pop-punk, melodic
post-post-hardcore and troubadour-style vocals of frontman Donald
Spence. Their new album, "The Bastards Will Live Forever," bridges the
gap from previous pop-punk over to a darkly melodic postpunk/emo mix
and will be released in May 2023. Green vinyl.
