on E ... but this couldn't be further from the truth. With their latest
full length offering, Great Disasters, they aim to silence the doubters
and unbelievers, and they hit their mark dead on.
Their first LP since 2017's Obstinate, Great Disasters is a
filler-free, 25 minute tour de force that perfectly exemplifies the
qualities that have made ANTiSEEN such an enduring presence in the
underground. The records nine urgent, lively, and expertly-composed
tracks range from motor-charged rippers to anthemic stompers, all
brimming with the band's ever-present Southern swagger and grit. After
four decades and dozens of releases, the band is somehow sharper and
more vital than ever, with all energy and twice the personality of
bands half their age.
This feat is in no small part due to the band's newly minted "ULTRA
Line-Up," featuring mastermind Jeff Clayton, longtime collaborator Sir
Barry Hannibal, and known associates Malcolm Tent and Walt Wheat.
Tent's long track record as a paragon of American outsider music both

Charlotte, NCs legendary ANTiSEEN. With dozens of singles, LPs,

Four years after

bands, these boys play tough-sounding punk rock with some old school

In recent years, the ever-mercurial tastes of the subcultural throngs
have shifted, and Oi!-influenced punk music is now enjoying a renewed

standard bearers have emerged, and Portlands DEATH RIDGE BOYS are
waving the banner high. Formed in 2017 by TALK IS POISON's WILLIAM

Back in 2000, Darius Koski and Johnny "Peebucks" Bonnel of the SWINGIN'
UTTERS walked into STOUT STUDIO in San Francisco to lay down a
collection of songs they had written for their new side project.
Enlisting Spike Slawson (Me First & the Gimme Gimmes), Greg Lisher
(Camper Van Beethoven) and STOUT engineer and drummer extraordinaire
Randy Burk, their combined efforts resulted in nine tracks of stripped
down, raw Folk/Punk.
These songs became the inaugural release from the newly christened
FILTHY THIEVING BASTARDS. Though long overdue, we find it fitting to
celebrate the 15th anniversary of this title by making it available on
vinyl for the first time for Record Store Day 2015. Every BASTARD has
his day!!

When it came to the
follow-up of their 1990 magnum opus "Feel the Darkness", failure was
not an option for Poison Idea.
Seeking a way to expand their musical horizons while still retaining
their cranked-up style, UK-cum-Chicagoian producer Iain Burgess (Big
Black, Effigies, Naked Raygun) was brought in to assist in this
audacious feat. The results-1992's "Blank Blackout Vacant"-succussfully
showcased a meshing of Poison Idea's classically surging sound and a
new found refinement: demonstrated by the brass section on tracks like
the driving opener "Say Goodbye" or the chugging, Motorhead-esque
"Forever and Always".
Rolling on with their relentless reissue schedulefor Portland's Kings
of PUnk, TKO replenishes the double-disc edition of "Blank Blackout
Vacant" first introduced back in the maddening year of 2020. Along with
the album's original batch of thirteen tracks capped off by a
thundering version of New York Dolls "Vietnamese Baby", you get a bonus
LP containing a bevy of B-sides, covers by acts as disparate as Lords
of the New Church, The Who and Booker T. & the M.G.'s, as well as a
live on-air performane on Portland's long-running community radio
station KBOO from the Fall of 1991.
Originally released at a pivotal point in Poison Idea's career, "Blank

POISON IDEA - KINGS OF PUNK (2024 VERSION)
Among the impressive
discography by Portland, OR Hardcore Punk forerunners POISON IDEA,
their 1986 debut LP Kings Of Punk is considered one of the most
important entries.
Originally released on the Pusmort label owned and operated by
legendary visual artist Brian "Pushead" Schroeder (Misfits, Metallica),
Kings Of Punk introduced POISON IDEA to a wide audience than their
previously the self-released and distributed releases on Fatal
Erection, the record label co-run by their guitarist Tom "Pig Champion"
Roberts. Taking full advantage of the situation, POISON IDEA made sure
their first full-length release would make an impact on the American
Hardcore Punk scene. From the grisly, full-color cover image of the
band's name carved into the chest of vocalist Jerry A. Lang to the
blistering music contained within, Kings Of Punk was convincing enough
to earn POISON IDEA the attention that helped spread their legend and
kicked off the band's most prolific period: the late 80s - early 90s.
Out-of-print since TKO's ephemera-packed "Portland Edition" version
from the summer of 2022, Kings Of Punk now returns as the third
installment in TKO's "POISON IDEA REMASTERS" series. This new edition
finds all eleven tracks shined up while still retaining the feral bite
of the original, proving almost forty years since its release, Kings Of
Punk will forever be evidence enough for POISON IDEA's to claim their
self-appointed throne.

of POISON IDEA, 1993's We Must Burn is recognized as the capper on the
most prolific period for Portland, Oregon's Kings Of Punk, as well as

Its no secret that few music scenes have ever matched the sheer animal
ferocity, vitriol, and urgency on display in those first few legendary
years of American Hardcore. Of that scenes flagship groups, perhaps
none better exemplify the aforementioned traits than Portlands greatest
export, POISON IDEA. As the early years of their existence have become
mythologized through the passage of time, oral tradition, and fuzzy
recollections, complete documents of that era are more valuable than
ever. As such, TKO RECORDS is proud to present Young Lords: Live At The
Metropolis, 1982.
Mixed and mastered from the original multi-track audio from their May
5th, 1982 show at The Metropolis in Portland, Oregon, Young Lords
exemplifies the primal freneticism that made POISON IDEA an American
Hardcore institution. Replete with now-classic staples of their early
catalogue, pitch perfect covers of songs by contemporaneous acts like
JFA and SOA, and quintessential Jerry A. stage banter ("Our drum
players on acid; Just leave the lights off."), Young Lords serves as
both a historical snapshot of a young band firing on all cylinders and
a not so gentle reminder of that bands enduring legacy. Delivered, as
always, with due attention to detail, Young Lords is presented here in
a deluxe "Pig Note" layout, including a gatefold sleeve with a bound in
12-page booklet that features previously unpublished photos and flyers,
as well as an 11.5" x 23" poster insert. For either the neurotic

From their
self-released 1993 demo tape through to the present day, the TEMPLARS
have repeatedly established and re-established the high water mark for
American OI! for three decades running, and 1998s Omne Datum Optimum is
a landmark record in the bands genre-defining discography.
Originally released in 1998 on ANTI-HEROS frontman Mark Noahs GMM
Records, the TEMPLARS somewhat controversially eschewed their signature
home recording set up in favor of a professional studio on Omne Datum
Optimum. Co-produced by Noah and Jeff Bakos at Bakos Amp Works in
Atlanta, GA, the albums cleaner sound proved divisive among fans at the
time of its release.
The current renewed interest in Oi! music makes a proper reissue of
this 25-year-old classic a no-brainer, and the unexpected but welcome
cultural cachet of the form means that its more likely than ever to get
its proper due. With the benefit of hindsight, its apparent that Omne
Datum Optimum is not only a great record, but arguably both one of the
TEMPLARS best, and a defining work of the genre. Sporting reworked
cover art and our tried and true attention to detail, TKO is proud to
bring Omne Datum Optimum to vinyl for the first time since its initial
1998 release.

Recorded over the
course of 1993-1994 in the bands own "Acre" home studio, the TEMPLARS'
debut full length, The Return Of Jacques De Molay, introduced the lo-fi
DIY sound that would serve as the band's sonic signature over the
coming decades. This decision was as pragmatic as it was artistic: the
band having endured the loss of their previous master recordings to a
failing studio/record label only a year prior. Determined to never
again find themselves in that position, the TEMPLARS opted for
self-recording, and the rest, as they say, is history. The Return Of
Jacques De Molay has gone on to influence and inspire generations of
Punk & Oi! bands worldwide. While the TEMPLARS debut album is held
up as one of the the crown jewels of the band's discography, The Return
Of Jacques De Molay, is something of a white whale among the fans of
this very vinyl-orientated band. Outside of a few limited German
pressings, The Return Of Jacques De Molay had previously only been
available widely on CD... UNTIL NOW!

collaborations, we can say without hesitation that this new versions
presents The Return Of Jacques De Molay as it always should have been.
Of course, the TEMPLARS lasting legacy arose from more than just the
charm of their recordings. The Return Of Jacques De Molay crystalized
the songwriting style established on the band's earlier EPs-A sound
rooted in Oi! tradition, but unafraid to explore beyond that genres
boundaries. Oi!s familiar pro-labor/anti-bullshit approach is on full
display, but songs like "The Sixties Are Over" show a willingness to go
outside the lines with acoustic guitar and shockingly tuneful
songwriting that few of their peers ever matched. Paired with the
album's signature fuzz guitars, warmly saturated drums, and deft,
melodic basslines, it's clear why The Return Of Jacques De Molay
continues to resonate after the last 30 years.
