AUTHORITY ZERO - 30 YEARS: SPEAKING TO THE YOUTH
Legendary Arizona
punk rock band Authority Zero is marking its 30th anniversary with the
release of a new six-song EP titled 'Thirty Years: Speaking to the
Youth', set to launch on November 1st. The release is "essentially
about believing in yourself and fighting for what you believe in,"
frontman Jason DeVore says. "Whatever that may be." DeVore, bassist
Mike Spero, guitarist Brandon Landelius and drummer Chris Dalley
spent a week in Arizona writing an EP their first new music since the
2021 release of 'Ollie Ollie Oxen Free'. Authority Zero then spent two
weeks with producer Cameron Webb, who also took the helm on 'Ollie
Ollie Oxen Free' and 2013's 'The Tipping Point' at Maple Studios in
Santa Ana, California.

Bill Hockmuth (guitar) and Davey Guy (drums), CHASER are 4 close

biggest punk festivals in Europe and Canada. They quickly developed a

The album title, "Small Victories", holds a special meaning for CHASER
that they felt compelled to share with their listeners. In life, we are
continuously presented with challenges, each to our own degree.
Managing our personal struggles, we tend to beat ourselves up when the
outcome is not as perfect as we envisioned. Instead, let's learn to
appreciate and revel in the small wins that occur on a daily basis.
They each carry weight and over time, have the potential to add up to
greatness! The cover art was drawn by Sebas Theriault of Sterio Design.
It depicts rough seas representing the everchanging highs and lows, and
ebbs and flows of life. We're all navigating these
waters trying to weather the storm and reach stable ground. Through it

Downway is a
Canadian punk rock band that formed in late 1994 out of Calgary,
Alberta. Their first release on Hourglass Records "Downway is as
Downway does" helped propel the band to 4 additional releases on 206
Records (Seattle) and Sessions Records (Santa Cruz, CA) as well as 4
music videos that received play on Much Music and MTV Canada.
Downway performed on the Vans Warped Tour (99, 2001,2002) and shared
the stage/toured with acts such as Good Riddance, Death by Stereo, Face
to Face, Lagwagon, Belvedere and Goldfinger.
After splitting ways in 2003 Downway reformed in 2017 and have since
toured Western Canada and recorded a new full length to be released in
spring of 2019 via Thousand Islands Records. The band has toured Japan
in December 2018 with more international dates to follow in 2019 and
beyond.

LAST MILE, THE - RESPECT THE FREQUENCY
Reissue of The Last
Mile highly acclaimed and out of print debut LP 'Respect The
Frequency'. Featuring an alternate artwork and lyric insert and pressed
on a beautiful Blue-ish Aside/Bside vinyl.
The Last Mile write songs that are rooted in melody and angst,
love/hate and an unwavering hope, even in the darkest of times. The
current line up has proven to be extremely proficient, arranging and
recording all of the drums and bass for 11 songs
over a week at The Posicorebox studio in Brooklyn. The guitars and the
vocals were recorded in Montreal with Ryan Battistuzzi and feature help
from some great friends, including guest vocals from Greg Laraigne as
well as Lucas Rupnik (Dirty Tricks, Delta 666), Mathieu Forcier
(Oktoplut, Prevenge), and Mike Gabriel (Answers, PL Mafia) on guitar,
and Delano Pelletier (Indochine) on saxophone. The record was mixed by
Jesse Gander and mastered by Stu Mckillop at Raincity Recorders in
Vancouver.

Jon Snodgrass is a
founding member of Armchair Martian, Drag The River, and supergroup
Scorpios. Also, he has made records with Frank Turner, Cory Branan, and
Joey Cape, and is a senior class a lum of The Revival Tour. In
addition, he has toured with Flogging Molly, Frank Turner, Justin
Townes Earle, Chuck Ragan, The White Buffalo, Cory Branan, Skinny
Lister, Lenny Lashley, Joey Cape, Tony Sly, Northcote, Chris Wollard
& The Ship Thieves, Chris Cresswell, and Mike Herrera.
Barge At Will was recorded, mixed, and mastered at The Blasting Room in
Fort Collins, CO. Also, Bill Stevenson played drums and bass on the
entire album. In addition, a few of Snodgrass buddies including Chris
Wollard (Hot Water Music), Chris Cresswell (The Flatliners, Hot Water
Music), Peter "JR" Wasilewski (Less Than Jake), and Scott Reynolds
(ALL) made contributions to a few songs.
From not having a Plan B ("Tired & True") to being the opposite of
outdoorsy ("Pre-Teen Wolf") to scheduling shows around the Colorado
Rockies schedule ("Crunchin The Numbers") to a song written about

TEN FOOT POLE - ESCALATING QUICKLY
Ten Foot Pole, one
of the more traveled "underground" California melodic punk bands from
the '90s Epitaph era (The Offspring, Pennywise, Lagwagon, NOFX,
Rancid), is back on the scene with Escalting Quickly. Known for
heartfelt lyrics, often stories, put to aggressive guitar riffs and
fast drums, TFP was a favorite in the soundtrack for the 1990's skate
and surf scenes. They have released seven albums combined for worldwide
sales of over three hundred thousand units. Ten Foot Pole took a break
from 2006 to 2013, as Dennis, the lead vocalist, rhythm guitarist, and
principal songwriter, focused on his audio career, mixing live sound
for artists including Prince, Jimmy Eat World, Beck, AFI and Weird Al
Yankovic.

TOPSY TURVY'S - IT CAN'T BE EASY
Topsy Turvy's is a
skilled band from France, an act pushing the formula of punk and
dressing it up with their original style. Their sound is more complex
than the norm that sometimes floods through the genre, and their lyrics
are sorrow laden, and their views are relevant. An aura also ripples
through the songs, which captivates and bring everything to the
forefront.
The band sings for hope and sincerity on It Can't Be Easy, formulating
a rallying cause, and their dreams are somewhat broken, as the lyrics
depict loneliness, cries for validation, and a better outlook. Those
fast instrumentals are beds for these lyrics to lie on too, while the
vocals pepper the atmosphere.

TWENTY2 - THE DUKES OF HAZZARD
Montreal's TWENTY2
was a very active live band from 1999 to 2007, playing shows &
touring with notable acts such as Good Riddance, Rise Against,
Belvedere, Mute on the Musique Plus 123 Punk Tour, Pennywise,
Propagandhi, No Use For A Name, Ten Foot Pole and many more. The band
broke up in 2007 only to come back 10 years
later to release their EP "Nice Knowin' Ya", which was mixed &
mastered at The Blasting Room by Jason Livermore. They returned in 2022
with 'Dismissed,' their third full-length which featured Good Riddance
members Luke Pabich (who also co-wrote the album) on guitar, and Sean
Sellers on drums. Thousand Islands Records is teaming up with New
School Records to celebrate the 20th anniversary of 'The Dudes Of
Hazzard'.
