Boom Boom Kid Y Los Pirexia Kids
HIGHLIGHTS In 2006, Boom Boom Kid and his friends from Pirexia (Hardcore Punk, Uruguay) spent two months touring Europe on the now-legendary "Uber Alles" tour. In the middle of an adventure that took them across several European countries, they spontaneously recorded their own version of the '60s classic "Sobre un Vidrio Mojado" by Kano y Los Bulldogs, and wrote a new song, "Ahí Va La Bocha", which they soon added to their live repertoire. In 2007, during a visit by Boom Boom Kid to Uruguay, they decided to record both songs and added a third track, "En Montevideo los niños que se visten de negro aún son los más coloridos". Shortly afterwards, the three songs were released together on CD - their only edition to date. Almost 20 years after its original release, this unique collaboration is finally available for the first time on 7" vinyl. DESCRIPTION Boom Boom Kid is the solo project of Nekro, vocalist and frontman of Fun People, the iconic Hardcore Punk band from Buenos Aires that became a generational reference throughout the '90s and early 2000s. Over the course of an extensive career, Boom Boom Kid has explored a wide range of artistic disciplines, including film, poetry and comics, creating a unique universe that has made him one of the most distinctive figures in the Latin American underground scene. As a musician, he has travelled the world, taking his music to audiences across the globe. One of the defining features of his career has been his collaborations with bands from different countries and scenes. In Uruguay, his longtime partners are Pirexia, a Hardcore Punk band from the city of Las Piedras. Together, they have embarked on several tours, including the European adventure that brought them together in 2006. The following year, in Montevideo, Boom Boom Kid and Pirexia entered the studio for the first and only time to record these three songs together. The result perfectly captures the spirit, energy and unique connection shared between these two acts. Originally released only on CD, these recordings are now being reissued for the first time on 7" vinyl, nearly two decades later.
