Killarmy

Fear, Love & War (25th Anniv Gold)

Originally released by Loud Recordswhose staff was apparently unbothered by 9th Prince bars like "Run up on the label, hold the A&R for hostage" Killarmy's third album features guest verses from U God, Prodigal Sunn from Sunz of Man, and Frukwan of Gravediggaz fame. As fate would have it, the album hit stores on September 11, 2001, the same morning terrorists crashed hijacked passenger planes into the Twin Towers and the Pentagon, prompting President George W. Bush to declare a global war on terror. Against this backdrop, Beretta 9 lines like "My missiles whistle at you," hit way differentdamn near prophetic if you stop and think about it. A quarter century later, with wars still raging all over the world, the boom-bap blitzkrieg of Fear, Love and War has never been more relevant, for better and for worse. Marking the album's 25th anniversary, this special edition of Fear, Love & War returns to wax, remastered and meticulously restored via Coalmine Reissues, where every detail matters.
